| I think I might have a problem but I really don't know. I am obsessed with weight and calories, and desperatly want to be thinner. It seems like it is all I think about. However, I am not underweight. I do chew and spit, and sometimes purge. I am a college athlete and i feel like my body needs to be perfect. I obsess over body fat percentage. I am 15% body fat but i want to be 10%. I feel tired a lot, and i skip periods. i feel like sometthing might be wrong, but i don't want to overreact. A lot of athletes at my school diet and want to look good. I just don't know where the line is drawn. Can you help me out? |

Hey
Glad that you are asking questions about yourself. Were you always obsessed with your weight even before college? Do you need be a certain weight because of your sport? What sport do you play? I am sure that it seems normal to be obsessed with your weight in your position because you see other girls doing it too, but that does not make it right to do.
Missing your periods is a sign that your body weight is too low and your starving your body of natural ingredients and everybody has a different threshold and it seems like you are pushing yours to the max. |

| I have been worried about my weight since I was 14, but it has gotten worse since college. I have been pretty stressed, and that usually makes my weight issues a lot worse. I am a pole vaulter on the track team. I don't neccesarily need to be at a certain weight, but they really stress muscle mass. I am 5'3 and 117 lbs so I'm not underweight or anything. |

| If they stress muscle mass then should you want to bulk up instead of trim down. If you loose too much weight, doesn't it affect your ability to do your sport and everything else in your life? |
