no friends

I have no female friends and am actually trying to get someone to hang out with and am having horrible luck. I live in a really small town so choices are limited and I also tend to be a homebody. There is nothing to do in this town except go to the bar and drink and I am not that person. I had a woman ask me a few times in the past to have a play date with our kids and I forgot all about...now I have asked her 3 times and she always has other plans. I am lost!

sounds like you have kids which i am sure keep you busy but they are also a great way to be social. Any other play dates you can set your kids up on? Is there a playground that you go too all the time? In order to find people with the same interests you have to have the same hobbies. Since going to the bar and drinking is not your thing, you might need to be the one to get things started. there is something in my area called meetup. it is a great concept and formed by people with similar interests.
