Hearbreak

I was with this guy and he said he loved me many times. I thought that he wanted to be my boyfriend, but all of a sudden he changed and said that he only loved me as a friend. I feel like he lead me on all these months and when he no longer felt I was useful he tried to ditch me. He says he wants us to continue our friendship, but I swear he behaved as if we were a couple until he all of a sudden changed one day.

sorry to hear about the guy, that is strange and you have a right to feel upset. I know this sounds old, but there is prob something going on with him and he just cannot be with you right now. Are you going to stay friends with him?

I am trying to be friends with him, but I feel as if I am trying to quit a drug because I really loved him. I keep wondering what I might have done to chase him away, or if I could have been better. I just don't understand how a person can just stop loving someone, I wish I new then I wouldn't be in this mess.

It might be too hard to be friends with him right now. There is no reason that someone decides not to love someone just like there is no reason you decide to love someone. It is about timng, body chemistry and how emotionally ready you are for a relationship. Combine that with the everyday stressors in your life and it is extremely complicated to be in a relationship. Take the time to heal now because you will find someone that is right for you and when the time comes, you want to be good and ready
