I am divorced with two children, a daughter(12) and a son (5). I have been awarded limited visitation with the children that does not include over night visits.
The court order prohibits the consumption of alcohol during visits and I have violated this order at least twice. I do not have an alcohol dependancy problem, however, I am guilty of making the bad choice of having a beer in front of my kids.
My daughter has now become angry with me for putting my already fragile visitation schedule in further jeopardy by violating this court order. I promised not to drink around the kids again and I haven't, however, the damage is done- so to speak.
How do I patch this up with my daughter? |

the only thing you can do is show her action. you cannot change the past, but work on the future. don't drink in front of your kids. kids are very forgiving and she will come around. she cannot trust you right now, you have to rebuild the trust.
Don't tell her anything, just show her actions. |
