It's been a few weeks or so now. No emotions, nothing but apathy for people and activities. It's starting to bother me, not being able to relate to people around me like I used to.

The hallucinations come and go; the carpet will start to swirl and melt, voices that others don't hear call my name. I'm not really sure what I expect to find here; any sort of help, I guess. In any case, things are looking sort of dismal.

Sounds like you are talking in phrases. What happened 3 weeks ago that made the switch? Is there anybody that you do care about? Has this happened before?

Nothing that I can recall as being significant. Finals, maybe?

I used to be able to look at my family and feel an instant knee-jerk emotion towards them, whatever that emotion may be. Now it's absolutely nothing.

Never anything like this, with the hallucinations and lack of emotion. Other things, like taking a different road home from work every night. White trucks kept tailing me. I did that for a while until one day, they stopped following me. I know that sounds absurd, but damn it felt real.

Would you like me to change my speech pattern?

Well, that doesn't sound good. There is some sort of mental health doctor on campus that I can go see, but I was hoping for a less drastic solution.

Will you hazard a guess as to what this is?

Thank you for your help, by the way.

there could be a couple of things, but hallunications are usually associated with schizophrenia which is only treatable with medication. I do not want to rush to any conclusions but there are certain things that talking can work out and there are others that need medical attention.

It cannot hurt you to get checked out if you can so you can rule out things. How old are you?? You said campus so I am asuming you are in college?

no problemo with the help, that is what I am here for Very Happy

Yes, I am a college freshman. 18 now, 19 in a month or so.

Schizophrenia doesn't sound like a fun one. I'm not sure how much I trust medicine.
People don't seem to notice.

I'm an 18 year old male who enjoys playing bass-guitar. English major, if that helps. I am not very comfortable with sharing.

It seems like you have a lot inside of you that needs to come out in order to feel better. Up to you on whether that happens or not. Hows school for you? Friends, girlfriend, hobbies, family, etc?
