I know depresson runs through m family so i know thats a big patr of as to why i dont really care about myself like i want to and should, but i also stop breathing when im sleeping like a good 30 times an hour so im always phsycally exosted 24 7 and it makes life hard but i try to truck on... hint the word try. but on top of that i feel like i cant do anything right, i cant concentrate on anything and when i do i can only really focous on one thing not only that but in the last few years there has been a lot of ppl i was really close to die. and its making it really hard for me to enjoy my holidays cuz thats kinda there time of choice. christmas makes me think of death instead of what a magical time of the year its supose to be. So with all these factered in im lost all the time no real direction except right now i have art shows coming up but i just want to be the happy person i try to pretend to be and im even having issues pretending anymore because anxieity has kicked in on top of that so im constantly sad and whiggen out over nothing usually but the little things in most ppls eyes seem huge in mine so i was wondering how much of a factor does my sleep aptnia play in my depression and how can i start lettiing go of all my supressed thoughts and move on and learn to enjoy my life like i should and not freak out or mope over dumb stuff???

lack of sleep can play a big part in how you feel each day as well as kick up the anxiety. The sleep is something that you should work on first and then when you are sleeping, start dealing with the rest of it. When you try to deal with too much, it becomes overwhelming and you then do not deal with anything at all.

Is the sleep problem ongoing or something new? Do you think it directly relates to your mood?

I go through major stages of insomnai off and on but the sleep aptnia is something i have always had so i have been told that lack of good sleep factors into the rest of my issues but since i have always had it i didnt know if thats a big cause of my depression and anxity cuz im so use to always being tired even when im happy and hyper i still feel constantly sleepy. but the insomnia comes and goes and usually messes up my sleep schedule and like right now i cant sleep till like 6am and wont wake up till like 3 or 4and thats agravating cuz i need to start job hunting like weeks ago but its not good going out at like 5 at night to do it.

Hey
hopefully you can use the relaxation techniques to help you sleep at night. I would really focus on that. do you have a bedtime routine? something to transition from day to night?

not good enough, need to make just as much effort to go to sleep as you do staying awake because it is just as important

try the drawing and music out of bed when you eyes start to get tired then its time to go into bed. agreed if you are addictive no sleeping pills melatonin helps some people, but i am not recommending this if you have an addictive personality

very true, up to you, never really suggest doing something that will keep you up. I read before I go to bed, even if I am very tired, I read a little bit to help me transition from day to night.
