Tawny Sanabria, LMFT
Tawny Sanabria, LMFT received her B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University, CA and her M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from PLU. Prior to receiving her masters degree, she worked with families experiencing domestic violence in emergency settings and in group facilitation. She currently maintains a private practice working with families and couples and provides groups to youth ages 5-18 with the specific focus of building social skills, feelings awareness, and anger management.
Tawny believes that a couple of keys to happiness are to have supportive and loving relationships and a belief in ourselves to connect with our hopes and dreams. A focus of her work is on how our individual and community histories and experiences influence the ideas and beliefs we currently have about ourselves. Generating hope and connecting with others provides space for new ideas and perspectives to come into full view, offering increased strength and resiliency.
Tawny has specific experience and training with issues surrounding marital distress, family and relational conflict, anger management, parenting, social skills development and healthy decision making for youth and teens.
