Jacqueline McLean Martino is a licensed independent clinical social worker specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, divorce coaching and parent coordinating.
With years of experience as a therapist, and a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Social Work masters program, she serves as a private practitioner in Massachusetts with offices in Framingham, Belmont, Danvers and Worcester, working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, marriage and relationship issues, divorce and its impact on children, substance abuse, eating disorders, OCD, ADD and ADHD.
Jacqueline is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complimentary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they.re striving for.
Prior to being in the social work profession, Jacqueline had been a recruiter and an assistant underwriter and sold health insurance. For the past several years she has been a licensed clinical social worker, guardian ad litem, parent coordinator and divorce educator. Jacqueline earned a BA in Communications and Business Management from Emmanuel College, and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. She completed a one-year clinical placement at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate in Belmont, Massachusetts.
Jacqueline began working as a practitioner working for a variety of health care institutions and organizations in the areas of medical social work, forensic social work and in-patient and out-patient therapy. In addition she provided field education for both graduate and undergraduate students for over five years. Jacqueline founded her private practice in 1999.
Jacqueline is also considered a social entrepreneur. She received a Certificate in Residential Lending from Northeastern University, and she is a former loan officer with Chase Manhattan Bank. By being a successful career-changer herself and by bridging these two types of careers for the past 24 years, she is able to work with people, not only around major mental health issues, but in guiding them in their own career changing and strategic life planning.
She is also well qualified to work with professionals and executives who may be struggling with emotional challenges and substance abuse issues, and she offers intervention and consultation for family members of those afflicted with substance abuse. Jacqueline has a variety of motivational and wellness programs which she presents for corporate settings as well as individuals.
